Driving Directions
From the east on U.S. Highway 160 - turn right (north) at the only traffic light on the highway at Bayfield. That is C.R. 501. Follow it north to the lake and Lone Wolf Lodge, - 18 miles.
OR
Go on into Durango and follow the directions shown in Option 2 in the box to the right.
From the west on U.S. Highway 160 or from the north on U.S. Highway 550
Two options:
Option 1) Follow U.S.160 east to Bayfield. At the only traffic light on the highway at Bayfield, turn left (north) on C.R. 501 and follow it to the lake and Lone Wolf Lodge - 18 miles.
OR
Option 2) Near the center of Durango find 15th Street, also known as C.R. 240 and Florida road. (15th St. is on Main Street across from the Burger King) Follow it north easterly about 14 miles until you reach C.R. 501. Turn left (north) on 501 and follow it to Lone Wolf Lodge - about 8 more miles.
From the south on U.S. Highway 550 - U.S. 550 will join U.S Highway 160 near the south edge of Durango. Turn right (east) and drive to the only traffic light on the highway at Bayfield. Then left (north) on C.R. 501 to the lodge.
OR
Go on into Durango and follow the directions shown in Option 2 in the box to the left.
ATTENTION - If you choose to take 15th Street out of Durango (a.k.a. C.R. 240 and Florida Rd.) WATCH FOR A TURN. When you are about 9-10 miles outside of Durango watch carefully for signs. County road 240 takes a sharp right turn, at an old store, then crosses a bridge and continues until it dead ends at C.R. 501.
